Since I had no motivation to work on my long list of lesson redo’s today, I ended up going into my classroom for the 3rd time this summer. I wanted to try and get done more before the 20th since that week we will be bogged down with meetings and so forth. I had quite a successful day. I have some pictures to share, but please remember I am not done by any means. And if there are any minor messes or supplies in the pictures please ignore!
This is part of a wall in my classroom. It was a chalkboard, but I decided I didn’t need two walls of chalkboards. I used black fadeless paper (so that it will last all year), hot glue, and duct tape.
The alphabet letters I created and printed on cardstock. (They are in my TPT Shop for free!)
This is my wonderful Boggle board, Pinterest inspired. Last year, I did a Boggle every Friday as morning work. I didn’t like how I did it because I had to change the letters on the worksheet every week. With this new design, I can have my wonderful helpers switch the letters out!
This is my tree inspired by Melanie over at Schoolgirl Style. I used less than 2 rolls of brown wrapping paper from Dollar Tree. The monkeys I created at the end of the school year when I was in a creative mood 🙂
This is how I will show how each of my students are getting home. On each arrow I listed every way a child could go home. I haven’t exactly decided where I will put the student’s names but I am sure it will come to me eventually!
The picture above and below are the backs of my bookshelves in my library. I wanted to make my library a safari truck. I would have shown a picture of the full library to give you a better understanding, but my new (slightly used) animal print carpet badly needs to be vacuumed. So I will post additional pictures in the near future!
