So the day is finally here, my first blog post… EVER! 🙂 This past year I have spent countless hours “blogstalking” and gained amazing insight into other teacher’s classrooms around the country. As a first year teacher these blogs inspired me to think outside of the box and truly gave my students more creative educational experiences. Thank you all!
As for me, I graduated from York College in 2008 with a degree in Behavioral Sciences and Psychology. From the time I was 15, I babysat and worked at camps with children but never realized that it was what I wanted to do as a career. Once I graduated I had trouble finding a job due to the state of the economy. Eventually I took a job at a financial company and while there realized I missed my calling. I only stayed there for nine months and was ecstatic when I found out I was accepted into the one year MAT program at Towson University for Early Education. After graduating, I was lucky enough to be offered a position in 2nd grade at one of my internship sites. I was one HAPPY girl! The school is absolutely amazing, with supportive staff and parents, and wonderful children! A close friend of mine at the school is Lyndsey from A Year of Many Firsts. She is so inspiring and has mentored me in beginning this blog.
I can’t wait to start sharing my classroom, activities, ideas, etc. Please check back soon! More to come! Much, MUCH more 🙂
